| Labradorite is known for its peacock blue iridescence and it no longer being mined. Used by the Victorians often carved into monkey heads this is no exception. It was at that time of Darwin and this image was all the rage. Circa 1870 this monkey is adorned with two rose cut diamonds set in a 14K gold bezel setting. Then Susan's jeweler reset the stone in a hand made setting. Wonderful, full of whimsy and the only one. Color changes from grey to electric blue depending on the light and the mood of this magical monkey. Size is 7 to 7 1/2 (can be sized).
