Edwardian or late Victorian this beauty entitled "Love Token Ring" is circa 1910.An exquisite example of a carved chalcedony stone cameo in the classic coloration of black and white.This image is so refined with a clue to impeccable taste. The image is of a Cupid/Angel set in 18K gold and then surrounded by 22 Old Mine-cut Diamonds. Absolute perfection. This noteworthy example of Russian craftsmanship and expertise was purchased from the heir of a Royal Russian family. It is 14K gold,blue white diamonds showcasing a spectacular blister pearl. Inscribed with the date June6,1903 and a name in Russian. This is not only masterfully done but is has a magical and dramatic presence all its own.The blister pearl reminds me of a free flying spirit or perhaps the Dove of peace. Susan had taken this charming Essex Crystal or Reverse Painted Crystal of a Fox T surrounded by Diamonds and Rubies and then mounted it on a 14K gold dog bone expressly made and sculpted by her. There is only one as unusual and this is it. Only animal lovers here.
